You have created a great and awesome blog but now you need traffic. Today we are going to review a few ways you can use to promote your blog. Best of all, many of these options will cost you nothing to do so.
- Social Media Sites: If you have a well established group of followers on your social media sites this is a great place to gain exposure for your blog and to solidify your status as an expert amongst your peers so connect, connect, connect.
- Social Bookmarking: This is another way to gain exposure to your site. It takes a lot of time to set up and use but it creates a viral effect for your website so be sure to bookmark all of your blog posts so that readers are finding your content from these social bookmarking sites and visiting your site to find out more about you.
- Blog commenting: Blog commenting is a great idea for several reasons, first, you get to read other people’s blogs and get a good idea about what is important, what is popular, and maybe even how you can design your own blog. I would strongly recomment against using those auto commenting software programs because most of the time you will be considered a “fake” commenter and you gain nothing from the experience but a bad reputation. My advice, read the blog posts and comment on them. You would be surprised the wealth of information that you can find if you look. This will also teach you something new that you can in turn share with your own readers.
- Free E-books: are another great way to drive traffic to your site. If done properly they can be very beneficial to you and they are also very easy to create. You just write a book and turn it into a PDF. Keep in mind that ebooks do not have to be as long as regular books. There are tons of methods you could use to promote your blog but the one’s are listed are great for getting started. Try to tackle one method at a time or one method a day. Find your groove and work from there.
